Local identity Peter Latemore, an authority of classic “Queenslander” house designs, will give a free talk about the “Corley Explorer” project, at the Windsor Council Chambers, Lutwyche Rd, the home of the Windsor & Districts Historical Society Sunday 15 August 4pm. Everyone is invited and refreshments will be provided. From the 1960s to the 1970s, Frank and Eunice Corley drove the suburban streets of Queensland in their pink Cadillac, taking photographs of houses and selling them to homeowners. Around a third of these photos were not sold. These photos were located and donated to the State Library in 1995.The photos became what is known as the “Corley Explorer” database. Is there a photo of your house in this database?
