Remembrance Day – 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day

11th November 2018 | Windsor War Memorial

As a special one-off historical event, on Sunday 11 November 2018 we are recognising the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War One (the Great War) when the Armistice was signed.

It will be held across the Road from the Windsor Chambers from 10:30 am in Windsor War Memorial Park and pausing at 11am for a minutes silence and concluding shortly after, at which point everyone is invited to the Windsor Council Chambers for Tea and Coffee.

The Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner North will provide a Sausage Sizzle and we ask you to donate to their “Mates for Mates” fundraiser.

It is not often we have a milestone like this in our history, so it would be an important opportunity to mark this special occasion when the great war finally ended 100 years ago leaving more than 10,000,000 people in the world dead as a result.

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
