Please refer here for Dr Pollard’s bio.

Topic:              Rosemount Military Hospital, Windsor

Cliff has a special interest in preserving medical history. This includes recording the history of hospitals. Cliff has researched the history of Windsor’s Rosemount hospital, Lutwyche Rd. Windsor. The hospital was established during WW1 in the grounds of the historic home “Rosemount”. It continued as a Repatriation hospital till 1962 when services were transferred to the Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital, (which had opened in 1942). After that time, the Royal Brisbane Hospital supervised the site.

Dr Pollard is a Graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School: surgical training at the Princess Alexandra hospital with post-graduate experience in the UK. He was appointed staff surgeon at Redcliffe Hospital in 1982, later a VMO in general surgery. Dr Pollard moved to the RBWH as Director of Trauma Services in 2008 and retired from surgery in 2012. He served on the MNHHS Board from 2012-2019.
