We used to go here for Morning Tea after the Anzac March each year, from about 1961 to 1968. My father Leslie always marched and the march which concluded up on the hill at the Cenotaph on the divided street, near the Council Chambers, on Lutwyche Road. The men would have a welcome beer out in the grounds on the Lutwyche Road side, and the women would have tea, and the children had cordial.
