Pollard Family History

The story of the Pollard Family of Murphy Road Zillmere.

As many other stories do, with the search for a better life and the promise of a more prosperous tomorrow, Harry Pollard from England and Margaret McIntyre from Ireland boarded separate ships (Harry in 1891 and Margaret around 1888) and arrived in Australia. They then met and were married. In 1895 they settled in Murphy Rd Zillmere. Four daughters were born and two, (Sally and Nell) will be remembered as long-time teachers at Windsor State School
