Are you looking for a way to give back to your community, and having a rewarding interest in your spare time? 
Do you like history? Maybe you live in the areas of Grange, Wilston, Windsor, Lutwyche, Wooloowin, Kalinga, Albion, Newmarket, Alderley? – all once part of the old Shire/Town of Windsor. The Windsor & Districts Historical Society based in the Old Windsor Council Chambers, Lutwyche Rd Windsor, has a vast collection of the history of the area, and this must be preserved, and the information passed on to future generations. (Our current volunteers are ageing, and we seek new volunteers to continue the work.)
One of the society’s historians, Rob, would like to mentor you in learning about the area’s history and accessing the collection. Computer skills would be helpful. This could lead you to become one of our knowledgeable volunteers, working in this historical, heritage listed, building, attending to inquiries from the public – a rewarding experience!
